•Grading Policy: Teachers will follow the CMS/MCES Grading Policy. This yields equitable grading practices for all.
Teachers will provide students with specific, timely, content-specific feedback on assignments in the “Rehearse” and “Perform” categories. Quizzes and formal assessments will be graded and entered into PowerSchool within 5 days and provide students with their level of mastery of the standards assessed. Rubrics will be used to provide feedback on projects and writing assignments within 10 days of submitting and entering into PowerSchool.
The grading scale will represent a 10 point spread. A=90-100 B= 80-89 C= 70-79 D= 60-69 F= 59 and below
All assignments will be graded on a 100 point scale with a minimum score of 50 points earned. A scholar is capable of earning a grade of 0 when there has been no attempt at all to complete assignments. Teachers are expected to provide timely specific feedback on all assignments given.
