EVOLUTION TEXT ASSIGNMENT below: DUE TUESDAY 12/10
1. Research the work of Miller and Urey. Sketch and describe the apparatus that they used and significance of their results.
2. Research and write a paragraph on the origin of life on earth. Include the heterotroph hypothesis. Your notes should include: early earth atmosphere, information about the first types of cells and their environment (ie) were they autotrophic or heterotrophic? Were they aerobic or anaerobic?. After you determine the first type of cells--using research and some thinking, make a time line/list of the next types of cells that may have evolved. (hint: think prokaryote vs eukaryote). Your paragraph must include reasoning based on research.
Heterotroph Hypothesis.--know the time line of development of the first cells.
