Extra quality points are added into students' weighted GPA's as follows:
Standard classes- no quality points (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0)
Honors-level high school classes- .5 extra quality point (A=4.5, B=3.5, C=2.5, D=1.5, F=0).
AP high school classes- 1 extra quality point (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, F=0).
CPCC Courses- In general, the transferable courses (those included in the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Fine Arts, and Associate in Engineering) that are 3 credit hours or more, will be weighted 1 quality point for all students. The majority of courses for the Associate in Applied Science degrees will be standard (unweighted) courses.
Below is a list of NC community college courses that will be weighted for the 2020-2021 school year. Courses not on this list will be standard courses and will not receive any extra quality points.
