Have you ever heard of the saying..."If you look good, you feel good?" The AVID Program will be receiving donations to buy T-shirts for our AVID students. The T-shirt campaign is a way for students to feel a since of belonging and pride by representing AVID. Our goal is to purchase 150 shirts for our students at a cost of $10.00/shirt. Any and all donations will help defray the cost and are greatly appreciated. If you consider donating or sponsoring a student for the t-shirt, please make checks payable to HARDING UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL and in the MEMO line, please write AVID, T-shirt Campaign. One of AVID's goals is to expose our Harding scholars to various colleges. The most authentic way to do so is to visit and tour college campuses. The AVID program has set a goal to take local and extended college and university tours this year. This will expose our students to a true college experience. Cost that are incurred when going on college visits consists of but are not inclusive to transportation, bus driver, gas mileage, and snacks/food for students. Throughout the year, the AVID Program intends on CELEBRATING student SUCCESSES! Students should be recognized and rewarded for obtaining their academic goals within the AVID Program, as well as accomplishing their personal goals. Celebrating Scholars will serve as incentive, motivation, and positive recognition as each student takes personal ownership in his/her growth! Please consider donating and celebrating together by supporting and acknowledging the "Good Things" our scholars achieve.
