Coach Skellie

ALL ABOUT ME

Contact Info:

My name is Ryan Skellie and I'm currently one of the Health/PE teachers at Hopewell High School. Aside from teaching Health/PE, I also teach strength training and cardio and core. Outside of my teaching duties I'm the Head JV Baseball coach and Assistant Varsity Baseball coach. I also enjoy working out and personal train in my spare time.

I attended St. Bonaventure University where I was a Division 1 baseball player and received a Bachelors in Science. I continued my baseball career post college and continued to play professionally for two years. During this time I also obtained a masters in Health Science from SUNY Brockport. While attending SUNY Brockport in the offseason I was in charge of recruiting and the Head Strength and Conditioning coach for the baseball program.

I have currently been teaching for five years with four of those years being at Hopewell High School. During my time at Hopewell, I have seen the school make tremendous progress. Seeing the positive changes year in and year out makes me excited to continue to teach everyday knowing that Hopewell is moving in the right direction. I strive to motivate and educate my students and athletes day in and day out to be the best they can be. I believe in leading by example. Therefore I strive each day to make sure I'm doing the right things to be a positive role model for our young students and student athletes.
