SAT TESTING
The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions and is offered seven times per year. The SAT contains two sections: Math and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing. You must register online and pay the fee. Fee waivers are available for students that are on Free/Reduced Lunch.

ACT TESTING
The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions and is offered six times per year. The ACT contains five sections - English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing. Fee waivers are available for students that are on Free/Reduced Lunch.

PRE-SAT TESTING
The PSAT is a practice SAT test that allows students to predict how they would do on the actual SAT test. Students can use the results to determine what areas they need to study more of before they take the SAT. PSAT scores are also used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships. PRE-ACT TESTING
The PreACT is a shortened practice ACT test that allows students to predict how they would do on the actual ACT test. Students can use the results to determine what areas they need to study more of before they take the ACT. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW
Students can take the PSAT and PreACT at any time during their high school career. However, it is recommended that students take either or both assessments before their Junior year. It is to the students advantage to have all testing completed by November of their Senior year.
Students can take the SAT or ACT more than once to improve personal scores.
The SAT will be administered digitally in the U.S. and U.S. territories starting in January, 2024.
