Our Team

My name is Kelyn Blackburn and I am eager to return for my eighth year as a Dilworth Dragon! This will be my seventeenth year teaching. Before coming to Dilworth I taught grades 2 and 3 in Title 1 schools. I attended the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!) for my Undergrad then went on to Wingate University for my Masters Degree. In 2020 I earned my National Boards certification.  I live in South Park and have a dog named Carl. I am originally from Vermont and now much of my family lives in Charlotte. I spend most of my time being active, cooking, and spending as much time as possible with my family.  

My name is Kylie Duncan, and I am from Taylorsville, NC.

I graduated from Appalachian State University in December of 2023. 

I am so excited to return to Dilworth, this is my second year in 5th grade.   

I have lived in Charlotte for a little over a year. In my free time I love taking my dog, Millie, on walks through the city,  trying new restaurants with my husband Cam, and spending time with my family and friends. I love attending sporting events and traveling.  I am so excited for an amazing year and can not wait to get to know you all!

Hi there, I'm Sophia Granger! (Formerly Ms. Ferrara, I got married this summer!) I am so excited for another amazing year at Dilworth!

I am originally from Asheville, NC. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, fell in love with the city and have lived here ever since. I am a 4th generation educator; you could say teaching runs in my blood. 

Outside of teaching, I love cheering on the Panthers or Charlotte FC, reading a good book, or trying new recipes in the kitchen. Go Dragons!
