Grading

Grading Scale:

     90-100 = A             80-89 = B             70-79 = C             60-69 = D            Below 60 = F

Late work: There is a three day grace period. Following the grace period points deducted will not exceed 10 points per week past when the assignment is due. 

Missing Work: 50% will show in the gradebook until the assignment is submitted.

Failing Work: 50% is the lowest grade that will be entered in the gradebook and the comment section in PowerSchool will be utilized to reflect the student's level of mastery toward the standard. 

Assignments that are graded include Formal Grades (weighted 60% of the final grade) and Informal Grades (weighted 40% of the final grade).

Formal Grades below a 79% - Students will participate in reteaching and then be given a reassessment or other assignment for a chance to improve their score up to 80%.

Homework

• Please have your child read for 30 minutes every night! 

• One Math Problem Solving Worksheet with 10 word problems on it will be handed out on Mondays and due on Fridays each week. 

Wednesday Folders

The green PTA folder will come home every Wednesday.  Please be sure to check it, complete any paperwork it may contain, and return it with your child on Thursday.  This is a great way to stay up to date on things going on in our school.
