If you feel that your student is well above grade level in math, taking the Accelerated Math Placement test is an option for you. We offer two courses of accelerated math placement to 6th graders: Math 7 Honors (7th and 8th grade math), Math 1 (high school Algebra 1). We offer one course of accelerated math placement to 7th graders: Math 1. In order to take Accelerated Math Courses as a 6th grader or 7th grader, many data points are considered as part of a scoring rubric: formal math average, Math MAP Score, EOG results, Placement Test Score, etc. We expect students to have high marks in all categories to demonstrate they are ready for Accelerated Math as a 6th or 7th grader.

In order for students to be ready for the placement test, we understand that they need exposure to the material. We offer tutoring sessions and additional materials for rising 5th and 6th graders that are interested in taking the placement test with Math Leader, Mr. Erb. Please click here for this years details.
