This course covers the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)
Carpentry 1 course. This course offers an industry credential as long as you pass the module exams with a 70% or better and pass the performance tests. This course is designed for students to develop basic carpentry terminology and technical aspects of carpentry with emphasis on the development of introductory skills to include orientation to the trade, building materials, fasteners and adhesives, hand and power tools, reading construction drawings, specifications and layouts, floor system construction procedures, wall systems, and basic stair layout.
