Greetings Bain families!  My name is Jennifer Blackmon and I proudly run the AIG program at Bain Elementary in Mint Hill, NC.  My passion is growing gifted learners and providing access and opportunities to all children for higher-level thinking and creativity.

I have been teaching for many years, the last 20 at Bain Elementary, and my own three children are proud former Bain Bobcats!  I am a National Board Certified educator with a Bachelors and Masters Degree, an AIG certification, and experience teaching K-5 (regular classroom and AIG), 6-8 (Spectrum of the Arts), and post-secondary at CPCC.

My favorite thing about teaching is watching students grow and develop academically, intellectually, creatively and socially over many years of working with them.  I can't wait for your child to reveal who they are and what incredible gifts and talents they have to offer the world!
