Social Studies Grading Scale:
Prepare-Warm-Up/Participation: 20%
Rehearse-Groupwork/Classwork: 30%
Perform-Project/Assessments: 50 %
An assignment is considered late if it is not turned in at the time of collection during the class period. (Excused Class absences with a note will not be considered late)
Late assignments and projects will have a deduction of 2 points a day.
Assignments and projects turned in over 2 weeks late will be awarded a maximum of 50% credit unless an excused absence is noted.
Late assignments will be accepted until one week (5 school days) after the “Perform” date.
Absent Policy:
A student that has been absent, is responsible for completing assignments. Canvas will have all missing assignments. Students have the number of days absent to submit absent work for full credit after that reference late policy. *This is subject to change depending on the matter
Test:
Tests/ Assignments will be administered for each unit. A study guide OR notes will be provided for all assessments as well as a test review.
o Each assessment may contain a variety of sections including matching, multiple-choice, interpreting graphs/maps/charts/documents, short answer, and essay items.
Extra Credit Policy:
o There is NO EXTRA CREDIT! However, students may complete Test corrections for the Unit Test for a higher grade. The questions will be worth half credit on Test Corrections
