Know your high school graduation requirements.

Maintain grades.  Nothing below a C in the A-G classes

Take the CASSP Junior Year         

Begin college visits - On campus /Virtual/ Online Research

Advanced Placement courses

CART lottery for 1st choice placement due February 13, 2026 by 4pm.

Career Technical Education (CTE) - Courses available require no application and can be indicated on your registration form

Research college testing requirements for universities and/or colleges you are interested in attending

Take the ACT with writing and/or SAT, and SAT Subject Tests (Check school requirements- CSU/UC no longer require)  (SCHOOL CODE 050628)

ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test - January 2026 from 8am-11:30am

Complete initial enrollment with NCAA and Transcript Release Form by the completion of your junior year if you are interested in a Division I /ll college athletic program 

Continue to work on your resume for scholarships and letter of recs.

When requesting a letter of recommendation, include a resume along with a completed LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION REQUEST FORM.  Requests should be received by counselor/teachers at least 4 weeks prior to deadline.
