WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE IN PLACE BEFORE APPLYING
TO COLLEGE?
When students begin Senior year, they should have a portfolio containing information that will help complete the necessary steps for college application. This process will be assisted by Bronco College Application Day. Students should have the following in their portfolio as they enter their Senior Year.
· Bronco College Application Day Packet to include: Personal Information, High School Information, Academic Information (SAT/ACT), Activities/Community Service, College Research, UC Personal Insight Questions and Common Application Information
· Copy of your Transcript from High School, College, or Online courses completed
· A Calendar – To keep track of important dates
· An Email Account – make sure it is appropriate for college Admission Officers Remove Spam Blockers
· Facebook/Instagram/”Social Media” Accounts – Remove any pictures or wording that could be offensive if viewed by an Admissions Officer
· A Completed Resume – saved in student Google account
· A Completed “Letter of Recommendation Request” form – found on the CNEC Website under the Counseling tab
· Identification of at least THREE people who have agreed to write Letters of Recommendation for you
· Notes from your College Visitations and College Career Speakers
