Program Notes:

• Storage cabinets located in the classroom. 

  • Items inside consist only of program supplies.

  • A locked storage area is located at the rear of the classroom. 

  • Items stored inside are considered weapons and/or of high value or are large.  

    • Items include batons and red man suits.

• Storage areas are clean and neat and organized.

• Classroom

  • Approximately 30’ x 30’

  • Tables / desks are appropriate and provide adequate space for individual and group work

• Teachers area

  • There is only one teacher assigned

  • Teachers area is approximately 7’ x 7’

  • Teacher equipment includes; laptop, 30” monitor, two desks, one work stand, printer, storage cabinet, supplies

Purchasing 

• Program equipment ordered annually and as needed during the year

• Annual budget $25,000 for common items

• Large outlay items are separate request such as driving simulator purchased June 2022, $125,000

• Deadline for common items March each year for the following school year 

  • Submitted to Learning Director

  • LD reviews and approves

  • Assistant to LD places orders

• Class also has an open Lowe's account with $1,000 limit for instructor to use as needed

  • Instructor makes purchase at specified Lowes store with purchase order

  • Receipts given to assistant to LD withing two business days

  • Assistant issues payment to Lowes

Equipment storage

• All equipment stored in locked file cabinets

• Cabinet keys locked in instructors desk

• Other equipment such as batons and Redman suits locked in class storage room, accessed with instructor classroom key
