International Trip Interest Meeting for Summer 2026!
Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades are able to take agricultural education courses at Oakridge Middle School. While all courses are introductory agriculture classes, each grade focuses on a different aspect of the industry. Learn more about each course by clicking the course title below!
6th grade - Exploring Agriculture
7th grade - Exploring Plant and Animal Sciences
8th grade - Exploring Agricultural Mechanization
All parents/guardians and students enrolled in a course must complete a Permission to Participate form to be able to engage in the more hands-on aspects of the course. This is mainly to ensure everyone is aware of the dangerous nature of certain course activities. Students will be taught all necessary safety procedures and caution will be taken with all activities, but students should be aware of their role in ensuring we can continue to engage in these hands-on activities. Forms will be given in the first week of each course and should be returned within FOUR (4) days of receiving the form. Additionally, 8th grade students have a $20 class fee that helps cover materials within the course (lumber, electrical wiring, paint) that students not only utilize in class, but get to take home!
