The iShield requires an active internet connection in order to send and receive internet traffic for your network.
From the menu, select Connections & Routing.
The Connections & Routing section allows you to configure the iShield’s internet connectivity, including ISP gateway settings as well as Source and Destination based routing policies.
Identify and select the default ether1 interface edit icon.
Provide a name for the connection, such as fibre or lte.
Select the required Connection Type provided by the ISP and complete any additional details as required.
Select Save Changes.
The iShield supports multiple WAN connections, enabling a failover configuration with a primary and secondary connection.
In the event the primary connection becomes unavailable, the iShield will automatically failover to the secondary connection. Once the primary connection is restored, the system will automatically failback without requiring any manual intervention.
