Y12 & Y13 - IMPORTANT!

For Year 12 and Year 13 students, we help you to find the information you need via a range of resource and offer advice and guidance via presentations, small groups and also one-to-one Careers appointments and more. 

For most students, your first step should be attending a Careers Drop-In Session; the times of which are advertised weekly through the daily notices and below. You don't need to book an appointment - just come along. This means that when you need support in finding out about your career options, you can get it quickly. We can help you find our which qualifications you may need, which subjects may be best, different routes into university, apprenticeships, work and many other options - university scholarships, overseas study and more. 

One-to-one meetings will be booked through our "Drop-In Follow-Up" system. 

Please also remember that you can have Careers conversations with your Tutor Teacher and your Dean. If you have urgent Career circumstances that cannot wait for a drop-in session, please speak to your Dean.

• Exploring interests and strengths to start understanding possible future pathways

• Support choosing subjects that align with potential career interests, with a focus on NCEA decisions that affect pathways into senior years 

• Begin to investigate specific career interests or industries, and learn about different post-school pathways (university, trades, direct employment)
