Plays are a very good way to practice reading, new vocabulary, speaking, and listening. Using your body while you speak helps you to understand the true meaning and usage of words. It also gives your child a chance to practice speaking in full sentences with a loud voice and clear pronunciation. Your child must listen for when it is their turn to speak, so it is great listening practice!
You can help your child by letting them practice with you a few times. I'll send home a sheet if we do a play and post the video under Classroom work.
