We read the morning message together each day👌
We created a "we can" chart to show the things we can do in KA. We all signed it as we were the authors!
We used our sight words as a sentence starter and chose our favourite end word. We colour coded our choices then counted the results. I like to share was the most popular! Nice job KA!
We met Echo and Baby Echo, the owls. They are going to help us learn our letters and sounds. Echo taught us how to echo what she says!
We learned about the Fundations letter grid. There are 4 lines. The sky line, the plane line, the grass line and the worm line. We practiced pointing to them using our arms as pencils then we practiced drawing lines on our white boards using the lines we learned. Ex. "Start at the sky line, go down to the grass line and stop". We also learned correct pencil grasp and sitting ready to write pose😊 Great job KA, you worked hard and listened well!
Week 1 - Sept 7-9 2022
What a brilliant first 3 days we have had together! We played, we made new friends and we learned all about what happens in kindergarten😍 Below are some of the projects that we worked on👍 Have a great weekend and I will see everyone on Marvelous Monday😊 Anita
Mrs. LeClair sits on this chair outside her classroom each morning and greets us all😍 We get to choose a hug or a high five😁
We created a poster for the door of our classroom so that anyone passing knows that they are welcome in KA💕
We drew pictures of ourselves for the bulletin board outside our classroom so everyone knows who is in KA! Wonderful work KA👌
We determined which letter each of our names start with. We placed a name sticker next to the first letter in our names. We noticed that 3 of our friends start with the letter R.😁
We read a fiction big book about a flying school bus then coloured our own school busses and cut out the children to glue on the bus. We were practicing using, pencils and crayons and using and holding scissors correctly 👍
Our motto in KA is... "we are kind, thoughtful and caring". We read a story about taking turns and then discussed the pictures above to determine which pictures showed kindness and why. We know what kindness looks like and sounds like😍
WELL DONE KA!!!!
