The International Baccalaureate(IB) Programme at Colonel Gray
The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better, more peaceful world.
Welcome to the International Baccalaureate (IB) at Colonel Gray!
My name is Angie MacCorquodale and I am the IB Coordinator at Colonel Gray. Please use the site navigation to find answers to frequently asked questions, information about the specifics of the IB at Colonel Gray, information for students considering our school’s preparation programme (CGHS pre-IB), information about the IB in general and much more.
Registration for Pre-IB and/or IB: There will be a registration session for current grade nine students/parents on Thursday, April 4 beginning at 7 PM. The first 40 minutes will explain some general information about registration procedures. Following this, there will be an additional session in another area of the school for any parents or students interested in learning more about registration and content of the pre-IB and the IB Programme. Applicants to the Pre-IB programme will be required to complete a registration form and come to the school to write a short, "on demand" response to a prompt (on April 25 at 3:20 in the library; if you cannot make it on the 25th, please be here on Monday, April 29 at 3:20 in the library). For parents and students of current grade tens who are interested in learning more about the programme, I will be available on the evening and day of parent/teacher interviews to provide info and/or answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact me via the email address or phone number below if you wish to receive more information before April 4.
