BOOK WEEK
This week is Book Week at Clive School. The overall theme for our Book Week is SPACE!
There are lots of different and exciting activities happening throughout the week, including the Book Character Dress Up Day this Friday!
Remember to also check out the Book Fair in the Library this week with your class.
Your Task:
Make your own SPACE themed picture book for a younger child at Clive School
Your book will need a cover page, title, and authors name
Remember to include a picture and text on each page, with lots of colour
Your book must be at least 8 pages long
You could make your book on paper, or using Book Creator, and you will need to staple it together or print it out when complete (if printing it will only be able to print in black and white)
Make it interesting and exciting for the reader!

MATARIKI WEEK

Samoan Language Week
This week is Samoan Language Week. It is the celebration of Samoan culture and language, and aims to encourage New Zealanders to learn and experience it.
Why do we celebrate Samoan Language Week? - Samoan make up the largest group of Pacific Islanders living in New Zealand so it's very important to recognise and commemorate their heritage. There are around 150,000 people residing in NZ who identify as Samoan.
