Here you will find the tasks set by your Inquiry workshop. You will need to see your Inquiry teacher for getting this task checked off.
This week's task has been designed by the lengedary, Zara. Nice going.
This task is a CAN DO and can be completed by anyone who has had at least 4 tasks checked off.
This is not a tick off task but there may be prizes for students who complete it before Tu Meke Wa.
On the photo, are 10 clues to 10 different locations in our kura.
Take a photo of each location to prove that you know the answer.
Compile your 10 photos as a collage
!You do not need to leave the school grounds for any of these photos.
What is this Mystery Flag? What does it represent? Email your responses to Mr Russ to go in the draw at the end of the week.
REMEMBER: You MUST write the meaning of the flag in YOUR OWN WORDS.
Your Task:
Choose a topic/subject/person that interests you
Create a presentation all about your chosen topic
Include at least 10 interesting facts or pieces of information
Remember to also includes photos/images as well.
You might choose a famous sportsman or sportswoman, a country, a game, a historic event, an animal. The choice is yours!
Consider how you might present your research. Will you create a poster, an iMovie, a quiz, a book, a fact file. Get creative and think of something exciting that will catch your audiences attention.
BOOK WEEK
Choose from the following:
Design and create a rocket showcasing your favourite book! (competition)
Create an interesting Space story. Remember to hook the reader in, use interesting vocabulary, descriptive features, good punctuation etc. (competition)
Design and create your own book cover. If you write a space story you will need to illustrate a book cover for it. You will need a title and the authors name. (competition)
Make a bookmark or poster about your favourite book
Character study from your favourite book
Book review from a book you have read
Write a letter to your favourite author explaining how much you enjoyed their book and why.

This weeks task is to create your own Japanese lady from the word JAPAN. Watch the video and follow the instructions to bring your words alive!
You can complete the activity either in your Inquiry book or on an A4 piece of paper. Please be sure to add colour to brighten up your page, and add your signature to finish your masterpiece.
This week we will be putting our skills to test by baking, cooking, and making our fabulous creations! Do not get caught out and run out of time. To ensure you are well prepared you will need to manage your time effectively.
Complete the timeline activity:

This is not a group activity. You each need to complete this task.
Get a piece of origami paper from Room 9 (in the box) and create 3 cranes which we will be able to give to our local businesses. You should be finetuning your skills with these cranes now so...do be fussy.

How are you going to promote your 'event' in the Clive community?
What will you create to let the community/businesses know what you are doing?
Are you 'Giving Back' to a particular business?
Who is your 'event' aimed at?
Design, create, make: A way to promote or advertise your event.
You could create a video, a poster, song, write a letter, message etc. YOU CHOOSE!
Your Task:
Complete your 'action plan' with your Inquiry group
Each member of the group must have the plan completed (not just one plan per group)
Each person needs to have their action plan glued into their Inquiry book
