Episode 5
From Inside the Dorm
There is something special about watching children tackle a cross-country track through the forest, but adding a sudden shift to misty, windy weather, it turns to be grit, toughness and HEART.
One talks about a contrast in weather – a sunny Saturday morning saw the campus buzzing, with the rugby fixtures at home, and girls split between home and away.
Then we had to relax! With blankets wrapped around themselves, tuck in hand, the girls went and watched soccer with the boys in the library.
After a delicious brunch on Sunday morning, the girls took to the ‘catwalk’ around the bell – the theme “make it creative and funky”; the girls never disappoint when dress up is needed. Meanwhile on the field, the boys were getting their golfing shots perfected.
Yes, study time had to happen at some point, the children, heads down and lying on the grass, soaking up the sun.
While the boys had a treat trip to the Junction, I had a little bribing to do with the girls – another item of tuck and a game of Imposter.
An amazingly busy weekend!
