Episode 3

From Inside the Dorm

“The best laid plans of mice and men aft are gang agly” – Robert Burns

Sunday’s weather undid most of the activities planned for the children, although this did allow for a bit of ‘down time’ to recover and rest after a busy (and sickly) week. Between strong winds (and trees falling in Top Woods), rain and the like, we were soon running for cover… well, some of us. The planned building of an enormous bug hotel at the Lapha fell largely by the wayside, allowing the boys to take to the field for a bit of a rugby game, punctuated by a bit of tv time. The girls were able to snuggle under blankets and watch movies, also taking time to complete the beadwork activity (necklaces, bracelets and wind chimes) which begun on Saturday.
