Intro to Sculpture

Class Goals

In this half-year course, students will embark on a creative journey exploring the captivating world of sculpture. Students will delve into the fundamental techniques of shaping various materials, such as newspaper, plaster of Paris, cardboard, and even found objects, into three-dimensional masterpieces. Through hands-on projects, students will develop essential skills in molding and assembling, while also honing their ability to visualize and execute unique sculptural concepts. With a blend of historical insights and contemporary inspirations, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of sculpture's evolution, enabling them to express their individuality and imagination in tangible, captivating forms.
