Gifted and Talented Program

Gifted and Talented Letter

Welcome back to G&T!

As you guys can guess, this year will be back to normal! Yes! We will once again meet in person for G&T, once per week. You will once again be pulled out of classes, and once again have the opportunity to interact with classmates sitting next to you. What a relief it is! The last year and the tail end of the year before presented some serious challenges to education. We all had to adapt to a tough learning situation, and for the most part, we seem to have come through the worst of it. All that being said, let's go over what this year will be like.

First of all, Google Classroom will be used for all class communications. Every time I post anything to GC, you will receive a notification in your school email. Thus, all projects, required work, forms, schedules and changes, etc. will be found there. It is YOUR responsibility to check your school email as part of your normal daily routine, so make sure to do so.

As in years past, you will be taken out of a class once a week for G&T. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure you make up any missed work from your regular classes. If at any point in time your classroom teachers feel that your academic performance is in jeopardy, they may request for you to be removed temporarily from G&T pull-out classes, and you can rest assured that I will comply with any such request. So, make sure you keep your grades up! In addition, because of the way the cohorts are divided between schools for some grades, if you miss a class due to an absence, it will be very hard to make up. So make sure you keep an eye on the Google Classroom!

So, that’s it! G&T is back! Woohoo!!!
