How do I log in?
Go to the links for the classrooms above, type in classroom.google.com in your web browser, or use the app for your mobile device. Check the pages for laptops, iPads and Android devices for further help.
I think I'm logged in, but I can't see my classes!
Check that any personal Google accounts aren't logged in, by clicking the circle in the top right hand corner of your browser. You must be logged in with your @cliddesdenprimary.net account.
How do I give my teacher my work?
If your teacher wants to see your work, there will be a 'turn in' button on the assignment. Make sure you click turn in. You can always add a private comment to your teacher as well. If you click turn in by accident, you can click 'unsubmit' to change your mind.
I want to do my work on paper instead
That's fine! There is also a little '+' button on each assignment. Take a digital photo of your work and you can upload a file by clicking on the '+' button and choose 'Add attachment'. One of the options is to 'Insert File'. Look carefully for the tab at the top that lets you choose Upload and then Choose File from your computer. Watch the help videos for a demonstration.
Oh no! My laptop battery died! All my work is gone!
Don't panic. All work completed on Google Classrooms or using any of the Google products online is autosaved. When you find your charger and log back in, your work will be waiting.
Why are we using Google Classrooms?
We can send you work digitally, which means we save paper. In Key Stage 2, it also means that we can set your homework without you having to take books from home to school. So the dog can't eat it! More importantly, it's another way we can reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 and any other germs.
It makes it a lot easier for teachers and pupils to communicate with each other, particularly if we have to close the school or a class has to self-isolate
It will boost your computing skills and prepare you more for the expectations of secondary school
It's secure - only users registered via @cliddesdenprimary.net can communicate with each other.
