Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Any student, regardless of income, who wants to be considered for federal, state, and school financial aid programs. This includes grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. Seniors and a parent can complete the FAFSA here.

The Federal Student Aid Estimator is a tool that tool estimates the Student Aid Index (SAI) for the upcoming year and how much federal student aid they may be eligible for at this time.

Residency Determination Service (RDS)

The RDS process (www.ncresidency.org) is an important part of the application and financial aid process, as it allows you to apply for in-state residency for tuition purposes as well as become eligible for state grants (in conjunction with the FAFSA form being completed). Log in with your CFNC username and password. Watch a helpful video from RDS that explains the application.
