A major role of the Foundation is to sponsor projects that promote learning and recognize and reward student and staff achievement. A growing number of businesses and industries provide financial support for these programs and events.
Hosted by David and Marie Brinkley, this special event held at The Venue at Turkey Ridge, recognizes outstanding teachers, teacher assistants, administrators, and staff in our school system. Outstanding educators are the heart of every thriving learning community. These exceptional educators and staff not only impart knowledge but serve as mentors and role models for our students. Recognition of educators whose efforts led to turning around the life of a student or provided exemplary care and concern for students.
Recognize outstanding teachers as chosen by the top academic seniors of Burns, Crest, Cleveland Early College, Kings Mountain, and Shelby High Schools.
Recognition and gift of $1,000 scholarship to every senior with a 4.0 GPA (or higher) who is within the top twenty percent of their class.
Named in honor of a former transportation director of Cleveland County Schools and is presented annually to an exemplary bus driver. The Foundation co-sponsors this monetary award with the Cleveland County Board of Education.
Provide team and individual mathematics competitions for fifth-graders from all elementary and intermediate schools at each year.
