CCS Educational Foundation Strategic Plan

Mission:  Enhance, recognize, and celebrate educational opportunities for students and staff in Cleveland County Schools.

Vision: Support creative and innovative programs that enhance educational experiences for students and staff in Cleveland County Schools.

GOALS:

A - Fundraising & Scholarships

• Raise funds to fully fund the A. Mickey Church scholarships and all related expenses and to increase the amount of the             A. Mickey Church Scholarship to $1000 per student.

• Streamline the transfer of scholarship funds from the district to the student easing the burden of students and families.

• Create a scholarship endowment.

• Identify and complete potential local, state, and federal grants.

• Fund an Executive Director position for the Foundation.

• Enhance the Foundation’s marketing efforts related to fundraising.

B - Foundation and Board Development 

• Create active committees for various areas of work.

• Increase Board Member participation and create a tiered level of board involvement and engagement.

• Create a Foundation marketing strategy and campaign.

• Create an Executive Director position for the Foundation.

C - Programs 

• Create a comprehensive list of programs and quantify the level of financial engagement and participation in each program.

• Increase the scope of the employee recognition programs to include all groups of employees.

• Diversify programs to meet the needs of elementary, middle, and high school students.

• Consolidate recognition and awards programs as needed to create efficiencies with finances and effort.

• Create an open grant opportunity for innovative and creative opportunities that include small capital projects and instructional initiatives.
