Homework is a valuable part of our students’ learning. We believe that it can develop, enhance and consolidate the curriculum experience.
Student homework is set on Google Classroom. Students are expected to be proactive in regularly checking their school emails and Google Classroom. Homework is that which is undertaken outside of the classroom; traditionally done at home but many of our students take advantage of facilities before school commences, at lunch time and after school to complete their homework.
Homework can take many forms including:
Projects / Reading / Directed research / Revision, including note learning / Surveys and interviews / Creating and making / Comprehension
Additional homework may be set by subject teachers where appropriate.
During their time at Cleeve Park School your child will visit the school library for many different reasons. In Year 7 students take part in the Accelerated Reader scheme which encourages a love of reading and offers a range of rewards in the form of prizes and behaviour points. Many subjects book the library for research based lessons and students can explore several methods using not only books but computers and chrome books, newspapers and magazines.
The library runs an after-school Homework Club Mon - Thus afternoons from 3pm to 3.30pm.
