Scroll down to see how the bond question will appear on ballots

Who can vote in the special election?

Anyone who is registered to vote with a Harrison Township or Mantua Township address can participate in the Nov. 8 bond referendum to make the schools safer, more efficient, and more modern.

If you’re not sure you are registered, or what address is associated with your registration, search the state voter database by entering your name and date of birth. You also can find out by calling the Gloucester County Superintendent of Elections at (856) 225-3555 or 3561.

Students (and former students) can vote, too!

Although New Jersey voters must be at least 18, residents can register at age 17 so they will be ready to vote after their next birthday.

Aside from the benefit of a real-world civics lesson, student voters also get an opportunity to impact their own district and community.

Recent Clearview graduates who will be away at college in the fall can register to Vote By Mail. The state has resources to introduce students to the voting process.

To register for the first time or to update your registration with a Harrison Township or Mantua Township address, either register online or download and send one of the registration forms, available in Spanish and English, below. The deadline to register is October 18. Given busy days and slow mail, it’s best to act early to preserve your right to vote!

If you have requested that ballots be mailed to you for all elections and your address is still the same, you should receive a Vote by Mail ballot in your mailbox in late September or early October. To ensure you’ll receive a Vote by Mail ballot, submit an application. To have the ballot mailed to you for the Nov. 8 referendum, the application (see below) must be received by mail in the county office by Nov. 1. Ballots can be submitted in person to the county until the polls close. Mail-in ballots will not be accepted at the polls.
