The Referendum projects are well underway! 

Summer/Fall 2023 Projects:

Phase 1 of the Middle School Roof renovations along with a new district fire alarm system were completed during the summer of 2023. Contractors began wiring for replacement generators in both schools during the summer of 2023. The generators had a long-lead and were not installed until the summer of 2024. In the spring of 2023, the District partnered with Honeywell to complete an investment grade energy audit. After the audit, Honeywell provided a detailed Energy Savings Plan from which energy conservation measures were selected. Construction of the turf football field began October 2, 2023 and was substantially complete by March 28, 2024. Spring sports were provided access to the fields shortly after.

Spring/Summer 2024 Projects:

As part of Honeywell’s Energy Savings Improvement Plan (ESIP), several energy conservation measures began in the spring of 2024. This included an LED lighting retrofit project and building envelope improvements in both schools. Additionally, boilers in both schools were replaced, and a cogeneration combined heat and power system was installed in the High School. The old solar system was removed from the Middle School roof, and Solar Landscape was hired to assist the district with installing a new solar system.

The following projects occurred during the summer of 2024 which will all be operational for the start of the 2024/25 school year: Air conditioning was installed in all three gyms. A new district clock & sound system. The High School Athletic Trainers room was gutted and enlarged so that the trainers have more available space to work with the athletes. The new generators were installed. Phase 2 of the Middle School roof renovations was started. Hot water heaters were replaced at the High School.

The Woodshop in the back of the Middle School was converted into a new STEM lab which should be available to students in the middle of September.

Many doors throughout the district are being replaced. This project will be completed in the fall.
