TANK FARM VICTORY

A combination of public pressure and common sense by decision making authorities led to the cessation of plans for a large Tank Farm being built on the door step of Whareroa Marae. Already surrounded by heavy chemical manufacturers, this was one step too far. Thanks to everyone who helped put a stop to this.

WE STAND WITH WHAREROA! For generations, Mana Whenua at Whareroa Marae has been systematically ring-fenced by heavy industry, exposing them to high levels of harmful chemicals on an on-going bases. As an integral part of the fabric of the Mount Community, we stand united with them in their plight for clean air, water and soil.
