Clear the Air Mount Maunganui calls for URGENT measures by BOPRC, TCC, Central Government and Industry to improve air quality to avoid long term exposure health risks for residents, workers, athletes and school children

To significantly improve the air quality in the Mount Maunganui Area

Black Dust: Particulate Matter pollution from sources such as fertilisers, palm kernel, coal, shipping/trucking and asphalt emissions.
Industrial Stenches / Odours: both toxic and non-toxic
Methyl Bromide and other fumigant used at the Port of Tauranga and within the District generally
The cumulative effect of long-term exposure to chemicals and pollutants in our air an into our waterways.
