There is a distinct magic to this time of year. Autumn holds a duality not found in its fellow seasons. On one hand, we seek the comfort of a cozy blanket and a steaming mug. On the other hand, the thinning veil between the physical world and the Otherworld stirs up a restless, thrilling curiosity. This issue explores Autumn's doubleness. Our contributing artists and writers perfectly capture how the cozy and spooky coexist. During this time of year, we realize that the dark doesn't ruin the light, but defines it. The chilling winds make the hearth fire feel warmer. The fallen leaves make the ripe harvest taste sweeter. I hope this collection inspires you to wrap yourself in your favorite sweater, brew up a hot drink, and invite the ghosts in.

" The witchcraft, the medicine, the spells and the injections
The harvest, the needle, protect me from evil
The magic and the misery, madness and the mystery
Oh, what has it done to me?
Everybody scream! "

Fall is a very special time of the year; it's what you would call the beginning of the end. Leaves start to fall, and the days following after begin to lose their warmth. You might decide to read a new book in hopes of grasping a new form of solace. You might decide to draw how you feel or look back on the artist you used to be. Hopefully, whatever you're doing to adjust to the changes before you, you take a step back and admire the new version of yourself that you have become. Each and every artist and writer in this issue is not the same as they were in the summer; they're forever growing, learning, discovering, and rediscovering the person they are. Fall is a great representation of the ever-changing world before us. So take a jump, the way you would into a pile of leaves, and discover something new. Read their work, admire their art, examine their photos, but most of all, appreciate their time and dedication to their work that makes them truly unique!
