Clayton Artists & Writer's (C.A.W.) Magazine is a quarterly arts and culture publication showcasing the literary and artistic accomplishments of students at Clayton Valley Charter High School. Our mission is to increase the visibility and acknowledgment of exemplary student art and writing at CVCHS. We believe that our student body is unique, talented, and worthy of having their voices heard and their creativity seen.
C.A.W. Magazine is a joint production between the Creative Writing class and students from the Clayton Arts, Digital Arts and Technology (DATA), Engineering & Design and Career & Technical Education electives. We publish work in the categories of:
Fiction
Nonfiction & Essay
Poetry
Script & Drama
Studio & Graphic Art
Culinary Arts
Automotive Arts
Photography
Fashion
Video & Animation
Music
All students are eligible and encouraged to submit material to C.A.W. Magazine, however all submissions will be evaluated by editors, based on the following criteria:
Overall quality and evidence of substantial time and effort
Appropriateness for a school-based publication, as outlined in the CVCHS Student Handbook and determined ultimately by the Editor-In-Chief and Teacher Advisor
Consistency with the season, theme, or character of each issue
The clear intention, objective, sincerity, or message of the submission
The team at C.A.W. Magazine is humbled and honored to receive your work and we look forward to the privilege of putting your creativity on display.
