FBI Atlanta Teen Academy
The 2026 Atlanta FBI Teen Academy will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students must be between grades 9 and 12 for the 2025/2026 school year.

Green Skills Crew (GSC), at Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta
The Green Skills Crew is an eight-week paid workforce development program developed to provide Title 1 high school students with the opportunity to gain occupational and leadership skills and multi-career exposure while caring for the historic landscapes and hardscapes of Oakland Cemetery. Students in Green Skills Crew will have weekly classes to cultivate workforce preparedness (resume writing, financial literacy, interviewing, etc.) and visit with partner organizations to learn about career pathways in historic preservation, green space design, and community development.

SYEP is a paid summer employment opportunity that provides students with hands-on work experience, professional skill development, and exposure to real-world career pathways, particularly within aviation, business operations, and public service at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Students gain valuable job readiness skills, mentorship, and insight into future career options while earning income during the summer months.

Electrical Systems and Sustainability
SUMMER PROGRAM at Georgia Institute of Technology
As outlined in the attached flyer, this sponsored summer program gives select high school students hands-on exposure to:
Installing electrical fixtures
Reading electrical prints
Understanding core electrical principles
Exploring facilities management and sustainable systems
Learning through the RealCareer Electrical Wiring Kit program
Participating in off-campus visits
Earning a certificate of completion from Georgia Institute of Technology
This is an incredible opportunity for students interested in engineering, construction, sustainability, skilled trades, or STEM career pathways. The immersive, hands-on structure makes it especially impactful for students who thrive in applied learning environments.
The Clayton County Office of Youth Services is hosting a Young Adult Career Fair on February 21, 2026 from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Headquarters Library (865 Battle Creek Road, Jonesboro, GA 30236).
This event is specifically designed to strengthen students’ career readiness skills through a hands-on, interactive format. Participants will complete seven career-focused tasks as part of a guided “escape room” challenge. Upon completion, students will have the opportunity to schedule interviews with Clayton County departments or participating companies.
This event would be especially beneficial for:
Students currently in Work-Based Learning programs
Students seeking internships or entry-level employment
Students needing real-world interview experience

Hands-on-Pathway Expo (HOPE) with Atlanta Technical College is a path for students to gain exposure to degree and certification programs offered. This is geared toward Seniors (12th grade) scholars who do not have a plan after high school or plan to enroll in a 2 year trade program.
During this trip, scholars will gain hands-on experience in a variety of occupational clusters.

Career Fair
Wednesday, October 15thfrom 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, the Clayton County Human Resources will be hosting a County-wide Career Fair, showcasing career opportunities across Clayton County departments. There are 100 vacancies to be filled, with a 2-week hiring turnaround once applicants have submitted their resume and online application.
This career fair represents an excellent opportunity for residents, including those seeking entry-level, mid-career, or specialized roles to engage directly with County departments that are hiring now for part-time hourly and full-time salaried positions. Applicants must be 18 or older, and all education levels are welcome (non–high school graduates will not be excluded). Pay ranges from $15/hour to $127,000/year, depending on the position. Job seekers who come with a resume will receive a guaranteed call back.
