Services
Classroom Guidance
Guidance lessons are given throughout the school year in all grades. Lessons are based on Clayton County and American School Counselor Association (ASCA) standards, focusing on students' personal/social, academic, and career needs.
Small Group Counseling
Counseling groups are typically 4-6 students in size, providing students with the opportunity to develop essential skills in a social setting. Small group counseling is offered at least once a semester. Topics covered include developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, and goal setting.
Individual Counseling
Short term one-on-one sessions are offered to students on an as-needed basis. Students may request to see the counselor through their teacher or by leaving a request in the counselor's mailbox. Students may also be referred by school faculty/staff or a parent.
School wide engagement
The counselor's role extends beyond the classroom and the counseling suite. Whether it's responding to a crisis, participating in parent night, or creating and supporting school wide intervention and prevention programs, your school counselor is there for you.
