During KS3 students receive Careers and Finance lessons for two terms per year, during PHSE lessons.
During this time they are introduced to four key areas:
Raising Aspirations - we believe that every child deserves the right to learn about the larger world, and to aspire to reach their dream.
Employability Skills - the world of work is always changing, and we want every child to be adaptable and resilient enough to thrive in it when they leave.
Branching Paths - there are an increasing number of options for students, from new subjects to new qualifications. We want them to know which path is right for them.
Managing Finances - no matter where they end up, everyone needs to know how to make secure financial decisions. We will support them in learning how to do this.
You can see an overview of where this information is introduced below.
At GCSE students receive fortnightly ICT Careers lessons during Year 10, and personalised one to one support during Year 11.
We support our students in developing their CV, their personal statements, and their post 16 applications through use of our dedicated Careers Advisor, and Morrisby Software.
