Parking Update - Please Be Aware!
We've received reports of parents parking in neighboring businesses like Hobie and Cal-Mil. Unfortunately, these spots are off-limits, and those businesses have warned they'll tow unauthorized vehicles.
Please refer to the attached diagram for designated parking areas. Keep in mind, that parking at the school is limited. Especially during pick-up and drop-off which is the most busy time. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate this challenge. We'll keep you updated on any new developments or solutions.

Exciting opportunity for parent partnership!
If you are a dad, grandfather, uncle, or father figure we need your help!
Volunteer for WATCH D.O.G.S.® - (Dads of Great Students) a national initiative fostering family and community engagement in schools since 1998. Be a positive male role model, enhance school security, and create a safer learning environment. Sign up for two 4-hour shifts per school day. Wear Coastal attire or a blue shirt, get a lanyard for visibility, and engage in various responsibilities around campus.

Coastal Meal Program Update
The Classical Academies is pleased to offer every student one free breakfast meal kit and/or one free lunch meal kit each day they are on campus for an educational purpose lasting longer than 2 hours. Both meals must be pre-ordered and are available for pick up at the front desk with Mrs. Michelle.
Students can choose from the available pre-packaged breakfast kit or pre-packaged lunch kit at the scheduled appropriate meal time. Breakfast is scheduled strictly from 7:30 am to 11 am and lunch is scheduled strictly from 11:30 am to 1:40 pm. We are no longer able to provide these meals for extracurricular activities on campus.
Each pre-packaged breakfast kit includes breakfast cereal, dried fruit, unsweetened or flavored applesauce, graham crackers, and low-fat milk. Each pre-packaged lunch kit includes an entree, which will be offered on a random rotation. Items may include chicken salad, Wow Buttercup, hummus, sunflower kernels, cheese sticks, soy nuts, unsweetened or flavored applesauce, dried fruit, a vegetable juice blend, crackers/chips, and low-fat milk.
Our meal program is available to all students, regardless of eligibility status, who are on campus longer than two hours for an educational purpose. All kits must be pre-ordered online and links can be found below.

School Meals Available at Community Locations
Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost, regardless of the school they normally attend. Visit San Diego County Summer 2024 Meal Sites for Students to view a list of summer meal sites in your neighborhood. Please contact the site directly for more information.

Books and Bundts!
We're thrilled to share that our students have an amazing opportunity to indulge in the joy of reading and treat themselves to a Bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes. For each month that students dedicate 400 minutes or more to reading, they will receive a FREE Bundtlet.
This initiative runs from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Chromebook Checkout
Chromebooks are available to borrow at Coastal Academy from our Front Desk.
If you would like to borrow a Chromebook at Coastal Academy, please fill out this form here and please ensure you bring a printed copy of this form when collecting your Chromebook.

There are fees for damaged or lost Chromebooks, which are listed below:
Missing charger: $25
Cracked or broken screen: $75
Missing or unrepairable Chromebook: $250
*Fees are as of January 2024 and are subject to change for the 2024/2025 academic year.
8th Grade Celebration

This is a drop-off event. Parents are kindly asked not to attend, but rest assured, you can volunteer to be a chaperone and oversee the festivities.
