Dear Coastal Academy Families,
To better support students and ensure compliance with state requirements, we are expanding our use of 5-Star Students, a system designed to efficiently take attendance, support student sign ups and engagement, meet state guidelines, and secure essential funding for student programs.
Our goal is to make attendance and sign-ups for various programs and activities seamless. 5-Star Students enables students to check in and out of school and activities using a barcode, school ID card, QR code, or with a parent app.
Additionally, this system will enhance the way parents and students:
Sign up for on-campus learning, clubs, ASB, Musical Theater, and extracurriculars
Purchase tickets and items for events
Check into activities and events quickly and efficiently
Complete surveys and voting polls to provide feedback
We will share more details and updates as we transition to this system. In the meantime, feel free to explore 5-Star Students and review their FAQ. This system is already being successfully used at Classical Academy High School, and we are excited to bring its benefits to our students.
You will see us piloting the system during the final weeks of school, so we are ready for full implementation for the 2026 school year.
Thank you for your support during this transition. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Please note: C'LECTIVES supply lists are also provided on the first day and are usually minimal. Most supplies were provided. Just provide your C'lectives student with some basics, like a backpack/water bottle/lined paper/pencils/pens/markers/binder, or folders.

WE REACHED OUR GOAL! Thank you for all the scans this year. Because of you, we actually surpassed our goal this time around.
But Box Tops 4 Education does not end when school is out. So keep scanning and referring our school throughout the summer. Our goal for the next school year resets on July 1, so help us get a head start on our goal during the summer months.
During Unit 1 this next school year, we will announce where our Box Tops 4 Education funds will go toward. So be on the lookout for that and our first contest of the year.
And a final Congratulations to our Second Grade A-Track students who won our last contest for Unit 5/6. They received a donut party to kick off their Sweet Summer!
New this year! The CAHS choir and band directors will be offering these wonderful programs to our elementary students! This is a fantastic opportunity to grow our music program and build consistency from elementary all the way through high school.
Below are the interest form links, which also include details about rehearsal days and times. Feel free to share these links with your students if you'd like!
