Early Pick-Up Protocol

Admin would like to remind families of our rules and safety protocols for early student pickups. We understand that early pick-ups are sometimes necessary, and we always strive to support our families’ needs. However, following our procedures helps ensure the safety of all students, families, and staff.

Authorized Pick-Up

Only individuals who were listed on the student’s Alternate Pick-Up Authorization may pick up a student early. Click HERE to fill out the form, and turn it in at the front desk.
A valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID) must be presented to office staff before a student is released.

Check-Out Procedures

Parents/guardians must sign out their child at the front desk.
Students will not be released from their classroom until they have been signed out by a parent/guardian. Office staff will call the student out of class once the parent/guardian arrives and an ID has been checked.

We appreciate your cooperation in following these steps to help keep our school community safe.

The yearbook purchase includes two optional FREE custom pages where you can highlight your child's year.

● Note: Custom pages will only appear in your student's yearbook, not in everyone’s.

Step 3: Recognition Ad

Families can also purchase an optional Recognition Ad. Recognition Ads will appear in everyone’s yearbook.

● Pricing:

○ KN-7th Grade: 1/4 page for $5

○ 8th Grade ONLY: 1/2 page for $10

WATCH D.O.G.S.

Exciting Opportunity for Parent Partnership!

Attention dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures: We need your help! Volunteer for WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads of Great Students), a national initiative that has been fostering family and community engagement in schools since 1998.

As a WATCH D.O.G.S.® volunteer, you’ll:

Be a positive male role model
Enhance school security
Create a safer learning environment

Sign up for a 4-hour shift per school day. Wear Coastal attire or a blue shirt, and get a lanyard for visibility while engaging in various responsibilities around campus.

Thank you to the new Box Top contributors who signed up last month and to the many scans we received during National Boxtops Week. Because of you, we are already halfway to our goal for the school year!

Don't forget to keep scanning and giving credit to your student's grade and track/homeroom/ES. The Unit 1/2 Contest is in full swing! The winning class will win a pizza party during Unit 3.

🍴Coastal Meal Program

Coastal Academy is pleased to offer one free breakfast meal kit and/or one free lunch meal kit per day to every student on campus for an educational purpose lasting longer than two hours. We are no longer able to provide these meals for extracurricular activities on campus. Our meal program is available to all students, regardless of eligibility status.

How to Order a Meal Kit

All meal kits must be pre-ordered online. We are doing a one-time sign-up that will cover the entire school year. Links to the sign-up form can be found below:

If, at any point, you would like your student removed from the list, please contact Miss Malia at mmiddleton@classicalacademy.com.

Meal Kit Pickup & Check-In

Meal kits will only be available for pickup at the front desk with Miss Malia during the following scheduled meal times. Meal kits cannot be provided after the stated times:

Breakfast: 7:45 AM – 10:40 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM – 1:40 PM

Please note: meals are no longer available for extracurricular activities—only students on campus for academic purposes are eligible.

We will be using 5-Star to track daily meal kit pickups. To help maintain an accurate count and ensure proper inventory, students must bring their 5-Star cards when picking up their meal kits.

What’s in a Meal Kit?

Breakfast kits may include:

Breakfast cereal
Dried fruit
Unsweetened flavored or non-flavored applesauce
Graham crackers
Low-fat milk

Lunch kits may include:

A rotating entrée (chicken salad, Wow Buttercup, hummus, etc.)
Sunflower kernels
Cheese sticks
Soy nuts
Applesauce or dried fruit
Vegetable juice blend
Crackers or chips
Low-fat milk

Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost, regardless of the school they normally attend. We invite all students to spread holiday cheer and share their best talents!

Whether you sing, dance, perform magic, play an instrument, or have a one-of-a-kind act, we can’t wait to see you light up the stage!

Please note:

If you sign up to perform and are selected, you must arrive at Coastal Academy by 1:00 PM on the day of the event for a quick run-through.
If your student is selected and has C’lective classes on the day of the event, they should head straight to the stage immediately after their last-period class for a quick run-through. Please inform their last-period teacher ahead of time.

6th Grade Astro Camp

Astro Camp is an overnight camp nestled in the beautiful pine forests of the San Jacinto Mountains in California. Students will experience an exciting blend of science, space exploration, and outdoor adventure, including:

• Mountain biking, archery, rock climbing, bouldering, and campouts

4th Grade Spring 2026 Trip

All 4th-grade students at The Classical Academy, Bear Valley, Vista, and Coastal campuses have the opportunity to attend this class trip to Northern California, where you will visit San Francisco, Coloma, and Sacramento. This is a 3-day, 2-night class trip for parents to attend with their 4th graders.
