Register for the LSW Emeralds Dance Team Audition Clinic!  This is a fantastic opportunity for 6th-11th Grade dancers thinking about trying out for ANY high school dance team.  

The Clinic will be held at Lincoln Southwest High School on Saturday, 2/14/26 from 1:00pm-5:15pm.

Participants will learn combos in dance team styles.  They will also work on jumps, turns, Pom technique and Kick technique.  

After learning their combos, participants will go through a closed Mock Tryout process, complete with a judging panel comprised of adults who have dance training and experience. They will provide individualized feedback to each participant on areas of strength and weakness.  This information is key in helping dancers focus on goal setting as they prepare for their future high school dance team tryouts.  The Mock Tryout process also allows dancers to experience a tryout in a less intense atmosphere.  Knowing what to expect in a tryout process will help dancers feel prepared and confident when they participate in a real audition.

At the end of the clinic we will hold a question and answer session where dancers can learn all about what it's like to be a part of our team.

*Participation does not guarantee placement on any high school dance team.

Participants should wear jazz shoes or turning shoes, a white fitted tank-top or t-shirt,  black fitted leggings, capris or dance shorts, and hair in a clean, low bun with a middle part. *Remove all jewelry except stud earrings.*

Participants should bring a water bottle and a snack.

Basic Itinerary:

12:45pm: Check-In

1:00pm: Warm-up and Technique Class

2:00pm: Learn Style Combos

3:45pm: Mock Tryouts Begin

5:00 pm: Question and Answer Session/Evaluation Sheets Given to Dancers

5:15pm: Dismissal
