Tournament Invite - Tabroom - Results
Dear Forensics Coach,
We are excited to invite you to the Mae Mallory Async, a speech and debate tournament that will be held asynchronously from Monday, February 10th to Sunday, February 16th. This format allows participants to engage in the competition at their own pace, providing flexibility while maintaining the high standards of speech and debate. To participate in the Mae Mallory Async, please ensure that your registration is completed by Thursday, February 6th. HERE is the link to our website for more information.
This tournament is named in honor of Mae Mallory, a remarkable civil rights activist and Black Power movement leader. Born in 1927, Mallory was a fierce advocate for school desegregation and black armed self-defense. She is best known for her role in the Harlem Nine, a group of parents who fought against the segregation of New York City public schools in the 1950s. Mallory's courage and determination in the face of adversity have left an indelible mark on the fight for equality and justice. By naming this tournament after her, we aim to celebrate her legacy and inspire participants to embody her spirit of resilience and advocacy.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the art of speech and debate. We look forward to your participation in the Mae Mallory Async and to celebrating the achievements of all competitors. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
