Mr. Hegert graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. He has taught orchestra in Rapid City, SD and in Lincoln for the past 9 years. 2023-2024 will be his fourth year at Irving Middle School.
Mr. Hegert’s main instrument is viola. He plays in the Lincoln Civic Orchestra and the Hastings Symphony Orchestra, teaches violin/viola lessons, and plays in a string quintet. Though his main area of focus in music is playing string instruments, he has also participated in choirs, musicals, and other areas of music throughout his life.
