Teachers must be qualified and should provide complete and accurate information and authentic documents with respect to their professional status, qualifications and experience.
- It is the duty and responsibility of teaching staff employed by Scoil Mhuire Adult Education to deliver their appointed module(s) within the pre-scribed timeframe as per brochure.
- All QQI assessment material is to be completed, corrected and marked according to QQI and Scoil Mhuire Adult Education guidelines.
- Teachers’ feedback on students’ progress should be available as and when required and requested by the Assistant Director on a continual basis throughout the academic year
- Students must be kept informed of their progress on a regular basis throughout the year
- Teachers must ensure that student deadlines for submission of assignments are adhere to.
- Teachers are employed on a pre-agreed contractual term to term basis according to brochure requirements
- In implementing their curriculum, teachers are required to develop appropriate and motivational teaching strategies in response to the diverse needs of students in a changing society and continually evaluate their own learning outcomes
- Continuous professional development is a lifelong process and the responsibility of each teacher
- Teachers act as team members with professional colleagues in motivating, inspiring and sharing their vision, expertise and reflections
