Booking classes for 2024!
The Stevens-Crawford Heritage House can host a maximum of 24 students at a time, or four groups of 6. We can accommodate groups as small as 4-5.
Students work collaboratively in a small group to solve a series of puzzles that take them throughout the two floors of the house. Each group is solving different puzzles--so no cheating! An adult chaperone is there to guide them, while museum staff are available for hints if students get stuck.
We recommend a 1:5 adult chaperone-to-student ratio. Groups work best when they have at least one adult to help keep students on task!
If you are a school group visiting only the Stevens-Crawford House, the program is free for a limited time thanks to a grant from the Clackamas County Arts Alliance. If you are visiting in conjunction with touring the Ermatinger House, the cost is $5.00/student.
For non-school groups, the cost for participants is $10.00/each (not including adult chaperones, who receive complimentary admission).
Please email us for more information if your district does not provide funding for busses.
Busses can drop off students at our door on 6th Street, and can usually find parking down the road at the Museum of the Oregon Territory or the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. We do have on-street parking in front of the house as well.
Unfortunately, the Stevens-Crawford House is not wheelchair accessible. The first floor is accessed by a short flight of stairs. However, the Museum of the Oregon Territory is ADA accessible.
Not at this time! Our next school tour program, Bright Ideas, will launch in Fall 2023 at the Museum of the Oregon Territory. However, school groups are welcome to take a self-guided tour of either museum. Contact CCHS Executive Director Stephen Greenwood at director@clackamashistory.org for more information.
