Speech and Language 

Fishcross Primary School works with NHS Forth Valley Speech and Language Therapy Service in supporting children who have a variety of communication difficulties and needs. We offer a communication friendly environment for all learners which includes visual timetables used in each class, combined Boardmaker symbol and word labelling of the whole school environment and displays which emphasise typical routines.  Staff and pupils are developing their knowledge and use of Makaton, where appropriate. 

Our link Speech and Language Therapist is Cara. We have been awarded the Silver award for our Communication Friendly Environment and are currently working towards achieving our Gold award.
