Medicines

Medicines in School 

School staff are not permitted to give any commercial medicine, e.g. Calpol. We are however permitted to administer prescribed medicine by a doctor. 

If your child requires prescribed medicine during the school day, please contact the office, as you must   complete a form as a written agreement, which will give details of the medicine and dosage. Medicines should come to school in a suitable container, clearly labelled with the following information; 

• name of child 

• name of the drug 

• dosage 

• frequency of administration 

Only prescribed medicines may be brought into school and administered by school staff.
