Equity Task Force

The Equity Task Force began meeting in February 2023. This group began by creating a shared definition of what Equity is as seen through the lens of the CJUSD Equity Policy and the CJUSD Equity Design Plan.  The team's goal is to support equitable practices and strategies through the five pillars of CJUSD's vision of equity.

The work of the group includes:

• In-depth discussions and collaborative learning during monthly meetings.

• Creating and meeting in smaller focused groups to acknowledge and hear as many voices in our CJUSD learning community as possible.

  • African American Students, Native American Students, LGBTQIA+ Students/Staff, Students With Disabilities, Teen Parents, Low Socioeconomic Status, Minority Religion Affiliation, Multilingual Newcomers, Foster/Homeless Population, and Academic Course Selection.

• African American Empathy Interviews debrief for students and parents

• African American Action Plan
